Nissan driver driving under the influence of alcohol

(jd) An attentive witness noticed a Nissan driving in a conspicuously unsafe manner on Herforder Straße on Monday evening (2.12.) at 10.04 p.m.: The driver, who was unknown at the time, was driving in serpentine lines and crossed into the oncoming lane several times. The witness then informed the police. A few minutes later, the officers came across the vehicle on Falscheider Straße, which was parked on the side of the road with its lights switched on. The driver, a 51-year-old from Löhn, showed clear signs of alcohol consumption, so a breath test was carried out. This was clearly positive, so that a blood sample was taken at the Herford police station a short time later. A search of the police systems also revealed that the Nissan did not have a valid operating license. The driver was also driving without a valid license.
